I'd like to know if you used a reputable brand of enzymes. Can you name the brand? it's possible that you reacted to one component of the supplement rather than the enzymes themselves.

Different supplements affect different people different ways. Everyone's body is different. Bad idea to bring the FDA into it though. They've proven time and time again they are not very just or effective in their methods. I have friends who've run supplement companies. FDA comes in on a whisper, they illegally and without right shut down business, held their family at gunpoint, then house arrest. The men wouldn't even let the girls go to the bathroom without watching, just to "make sure". The FDA started out with good intentions, but what it has become is not what most think it is.

My point being this: Enzymes such as these have been proven safe for years with official clinical studies by many countries and universities. Research. Don't just rely on the government, they cant do it for you, they just don't have the time, proper structuring, resources, and especially compassion for the individual. Because you personally has an adverse reaction means you should not use it. You are different. That's fine. Find something else. Don't be a whistleblower until there is undeniable proof it is extremely hazardous to millions(see prescriptions being pulled off the market b/c of not enough trial to determine safety), as opposed to one person having (justifiably, harsh) adverse affects.Personal responsibility for our own health is a must.

I got so sick from systemic enzymes that my Doctor thought I had cancer, so I was sent to a cancer center nearby. My blood platelets were destroyed, bilirubin elevated, and I even had muscle wasting and worrisome weight loss. It took a few months after stopping the supplement for my health to return to normal. I have informed the FDA what happened to me after taking this.
