Sicko Movie Review: An Altruistic Must See Film

I saw the movie Sicko with no expectations. I was bored, I had some extra time. I thought this could be a film only Americans would be interested in. I thought wrong. This is a great film. A work of art, love, passion, deep down altruism! My deepest respect goes to you Mr. Michael Moore.

This film will wake you up from your slumber. This film will make you realize what a dangerous place the USA is. That even if you are covered by health insurance, it is no guarantee that the health care system will give you good service because they are all in it just for the money.

Michael Moore goes to Canada, England, France, Cuba… all give far better health care… for everyone! Why? Because the incentives are done right. Their health system rewards curing people to the best of their knowledge.

I warn my friends and relatives who watch this movie. This will make you think. This will make you jump up and call your loved ones living in the USA and at least ask how they can cope with such seemingly hell on earth. Of course they will reply to you that it’s not as bad as it is portrayed to be. Yeah right, just wait until they get sick or get into an accident.

With this film, if you are thinking of migrating, at least don’t migrate to the USA. With this film, it makes you realize that we in the Philippines are copying the failed American system. It’s not too late. We can organize and educate our policymakers to change the system to universal health coverage for all.

Those poor, fat, sick Americans. Watch Sicko http://www.michaelmoore.com/sicko/trailer/
