In 2 weeks she developed a fever, chills and thought she felt so terrible that she would die. Her father burnt the root of tobacco plant and crushed siling labuyo (cayenne) and stuffed them deep inside her 2 week old festering wound. In 2 days she got well from what was suspected as rabies.
