My truth radar tells me this Malaysian remedy is effective.  The website even has a page for a natural cure for diabetes.  The only drawback is the english is terrible.

This traditional remedy was found by Captain(R) Yusoff Md. Saad. He had born on 6 October 1947 on Langkawi Island, Kedah (Northern of Peninsular Malaysia). He had found this antidote when he served as a soldier in the 1970s. He collected information about herbs, fruits and vegetables which can cure diabetes (natural remedy) from old Malay folks living in remote villages and also from the aborigines in the jungle (known as Orang Asli).
